What’s Included in Our Tours
When you travel with Walk About Italy, we want you to relax and enjoy the journey from the very first day.
That’s why our tours usually include much more than just accommodation and walks.
All tours include:
- 6 nights in handpicked, character-filled hotels or family-run stays
- Private en-suite bathrooms
- All breakfasts
- Most lunches and dinners during the tour (only 2 meals are on your own)
- Local wine with included meals
- Transportation during the tour
- Luggage transfers from hotel to hotel
- Expert local guide service throughout the trip
- Entrance fees to the sites and experiences listed in the itinerary
- All local taxes
Many tours also include special local experiences such as:
- Cooking classes
- Wine tastings
- Olive oil tastings
- Farm visits and agriturismo lunches
- Boat or ferry rides where part of the itinerary
- Artisan workshops and cultural visits
- Food tastings connected to the region
A few examples, depending on the tour:
In Tuscany, this may mean winery visits, olive oil tastings, farmhouse lunches and hands-on cooking classes.
In Cinque Terre, it can include pesto-making, boat rides and visits with local artisans.
In the Italian Lakes, boat rides, villa or museum entrances, wine tasting and gelato tasting are often part of the experience.
In Puglia, guests may enjoy cooking classes, olive oil tastings, wine tastings and carefully selected cultural visits.
In Sicily, island boat connections and archaeological or cultural entrances are included too.
In Amalfi an amazing lunch at a limoncello farm-house is part of the tour!
In Umbria superb wine tasting at a micro winery run by just one person!
In the Dolomites we visit a fantastic museum of rural life.
Not included
To keep things clear, the following are not included unless specifically stated on the individual tour page:
- Travel to the meeting point
- Travel from the end point of the tour
- Tips for guides and drivers
- 2 free meals
- Personal extras
